TATA Sumo

Tata Sumo is a multi-utility vehicle produced by Tata Motors of India. The vehicle was launched in 1997 and was one of the first car designed in India. Sumo receive an extensive facelift in 2004 and renamed Vict sumo, before competition from relatively modern competitors. A sport utility vehicle version of the car, called the Sumo Grande, launched in 2008.

Sumo 207 is based on Tata Motors pick-up platform, and thus together more than other engineers in other Tata vehicles such as Tata Sierra, Tata Estate, Tata Tatamobile, Tata Telcoline (TL) and Tata 207DI. In 1994, Tata Sumo originally came with a 1948cc normally aspirated diesel engine. Later, a choice of a turbocharged version of the engine was given.

Before sumo, the Indian market was stagnant, where most modern vehicles in the same category were from Mahindra and Mahindra, first prototypes of the Willys Jeep. After his release, Tata Sumo quickly captured a significant share of the commercial vehicle market in India.

TATA Manza

Tata Manza is perhaps the most beautiful cars currently on the road, Indigo Manz another nice addition to a number of customer-Tata cars. The car is a sedan version of the Indica Vista. Manz for petrol versions will CRDi fuel system and the diesel version will FSI. The car has a standard 5-speed manual transmission for all models. The diesel model offers 200 Nm torque @ 1750 rev. / Min, and the diesel version of the 116 Nm torque @ 4750 rev. / Min.

Safety
The host of the Manz Tata advanced security features include a high-crash-tested Cockpit Design, Dual front airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and front disc brakes. Passive safety features side impact beams, Front height adjustable seat belts, belt LED driver, front passenger seat belt warning, Child Locks and locks. Alloys with tubeless tires, a wider option is also available.

Nano had a commercial launch on March 23, 2009 and with a starting price of Rs 100,000, which is approximately equal to UK£1,360 or US$2,171 as of October 2009. This is cheaper than the Maruti 800, its main competitor and next cheapest Indian car priced at Rs 184,641 ($3,865 U.S.). Tata had sought to produce the least expensive production car in the world — aiming for a starting price of Rs 100,000 (approximately US$2,000 as of June 2009).

In early 2008 the news magazine Newsweek identified the Nano as a part of a "new breed of 21st-century cars" that embody "a contrarian philosophy of smaller, lighter, cheaper" and portend a new era in inexpensive personal transportation — and potentially, "global gridlock". The Wall Street Journal confirmed a global trend toward small cars, which includes the Nano.

"Nano" means "small" in Gujarati, the language of the founders of the Tata Group. "Nano" from the SI prefix for one-billionth is derived from the Greek νᾶνος, meaning dwarf, and is sometimes used to mean "small" in colloquial English.
