A glance about TATA Motorcars


Tata Motors was founded in 1945. It started its activities through the production of locomotives. The vehicle was launched on the market in 1954.

Tata Motors Limited is a multinational company. The headquarters is located in Mumbai. It was formerly known as TELCO (TATA Engineering & Locomotive Company). It is part of the Tata Group. It is the largest car manufacturer in India. Tata Motors is one of the three largest producers of passenger cars. In 2005, one of the 10 largest companies in India. It is also the designer of the Tata Nano, the cheapest car in the world.

The passenger TATA launched successfully captures the market:

1. Tata Indica - This is a very contemporary and yet very modern car. It is available in two versions of diesel and gasoline available. The price varies between three and four hundred thousand of rupees.


2. Tata Indigo - This is one of the passengers of medium height and is one of the first Tata sedans on the market. It was created in 2002 to life and was improved later in the year 2006. The cost for this car is four to eight hundred thousand rupees.



3. Tata Indigo SW - Tata Indigo SW (Station Wagon) is an extension of the small-car platform. He has the hatchback body style, the outstanding performance and offers premium features.


4. TATA Safari Dicor - Tata Safari Dicor (Common Rail Direct Injection) is equipped with a turbo diesel intercooler. It is equipped with the latest technologies and diesel offers strong performance and energy efficiency. The price of the car between seven to twelve hundred thousand of rupees.


5. TATA Sumo - Tata Sumo is one of the highest sales of multi-utility vehicles. It has ruggedness, reliability and space. The car cost between five and eight hundred thousand rupees.


6.TATA Nano- The Tata Nano is a rear-engined, four-passenger city car built by Tata Motors, aimed primarily at the Indian market. The car is very fuel efficient, It was first presented at the 9th annual Auto Expo on January 10, 2008, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India. Nano had a commercial launch on March 23, 2009 and with a starting price of Rs 100,000, which is approximately equal to UK£1,360 or US$2,171 as of October 2009. This is cheaper than the Maruti 800, its main competitor and next cheapest Indian car priced at Rs 184,641 ($3,865 U.S.). Tata had sought to produce the least expensive production car in the world — aiming for a starting price of Rs 100,000 (approximately US$2,000 as of June 2009).

In early 2008 the news magazine Newsweek identified the Nano as a part of a "new breed of 21st-century cars" that embody "a contrarian philosophy of smaller, lighter, cheaper" and portend a new era in inexpensive personal transportation — and potentially, "global gridlock". The Wall Street Journal confirmed a global trend toward small cars, which includes the Nano.

"Nano" means "small" in Gujarati, the language of the founders of the Tata Group. "Nano" from the SI prefix for one-billionth is derived from the Greek νᾶνος, meaning dwarf, and is sometimes used to mean "small" in colloquial English.

Tata cars have shown that several vehicles and used for family or work. Tata Motors work many future missions, taking into account the convenience of the Indian people.
